Last warm day, cold front passes Sunday

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Today is the last warm and mostly dry day with temperatures warming into the upper 70s to near 80° this afternoon. We’ll see a mixture of sun and clouds and it will be on the muggy side.

There is a low 20% chance for a stray isolated shower this evening, but most areas will stay dry.

The big change comes early Sunday morning as a strong cold front passes through the area. It will bring a line of downpours from just before sunrise to around noon as it passes from north to south.

Temperatures will warm only into the low 70s briefly Sunday before the winds pick up out of the north and the colder air moves in. Temperatures will drop through the second half of the afternoon and the overnight hours as the colder air returns. It’ll be chilly to start Monday morning with temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s.
