Portion of major road reopens near Busch Gardens hours after deadly crash, police say

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A portion of East Busch Boulevard reopened hours after a deadly crash near Busch Gardens, according to police.

The crash happened Wednesday night along East Busch Boulevard between North 26th Street and North 30th Street, according to police.

One person died in the crash, which left downed power lines on the road, police said. Other people were involved in the crash, but their injuries are unknown.

Westbound Busch Boulevard in that area was closed for almost seven hours due to the investigation.

No other details were immediately available.
