The cast of Hallmark’s A Tate of Love reunited over the weekend in Dunedin, FL at the annual Dunedin International Film Festival, including the father/son duo Martin and Jesse Kove. While Martin is most recognized as John Kreese from the Karate Kid franchise and Netflix’s Cobra Kai, fans will get to see him in a whole new light in this heartfelt rom-com in which he portrays Taylor’s (played by Erin Cahill) loving father and head of the family’s restaurant. While they don’t play father/son on screen, Jesse stars in the film as Jacob, Taylor’s childhood sweetheart.
During a Q&A panel with the cast and crew, Jesse shared what it was like working with his father on set:
“It’s such a cool dynamic to work with your dad. I know him. He knows me. And, also I think it gives it a great edge whenever you do stuff like this … We love working together creatively … Everything that we do is forever. I’ll be able to look back at these things that we’ve done for the rest of my life.”
