Sioux City Steakhouse, a popular dining destination located at 8515 Little Rd in New Port Richey, Pasco County, has recently undergone a routine food inspection that revealed several violations.
The inspection, initially conducted by the on February 2, 2024 and reported on the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, identified three high-priority violations and one basic violation, which triggered the need for a follow-up inspection.
Despite these findings, however, Sioux City Steakhouse was not ordered to close and has taken swift action to address and correct the issues, meeting inspection standards during a follow-up visit on February 5, 2024.
This commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene is reflected in the restaurant’s prompt response to the inspection findings.

- An employee was observed washing hands for less than the required 10-15 seconds, a repeat violation that was immediately discussed with the manager on duty.
- Live, small flying insects were noted in the kitchen, food preparation, and dining areas, marking another repeat violation that resulted in an administrative complaint.
- Time/temperature control for safety food was found cold held at temperatures greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit, including sirloin steak, filet, fajita steak, and salmon. Corrective actions were taken by placing ice bags on top of the items and ultimately moving them to a freezer.
- Basic Violation:

- An employee was seen drinking from an unenclosed beverage container in a food preparation area, a practice that was corrected following a discussion with the manager.
