Watch: Escaped kangaroo captured in Florida apartment complex’s pool area

Feb. 9 (UPI) — An escaped kangaroo paid a visit to an apartment complex and ended up captured when deputies trapped it in the pool area.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a kangaroo on the loose in an apartment complex near Fowler Avenue and 56th Street in Tampa.

Deputies were able to trap the kangaroo in the complex’s fenced-in pool area.

The sheriff’s office said the wayward marsupial was returned to its owner after the Agriculture Unit verified the proper registrations to keep the exotic animal were in place.
