Tampa restaurant named among ‘best new restaurants in the South’: Yelp

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A new hotspot for Mediterranean cuisine in Tampa has been recognized as one of the best new restaurants in the South, according to Yelp .

The site ranked Predalina , created by sibling co-owners Blake Casper and Allison Adams, 16th out of 25. Yelp reported that the restaurant’s “high-energy, seafood-driven” offerings serve as a tribute to the co-owner’s great-grandmother, after whom the restaurant is named.

General Manager Mark Hoefer told Yelp the menu celebrates Predalina’s “love of seaside life, showcasing fresh Mediterranean and Aegean dishes.”

The site lists some of the staff’s favorite dishes, including flaming salt-crusted branzino (filleted tableside), blue crab chitarra pasta, and potato stroma with Greek kefalograviera (a hard sheep or goat’s milk cheese).

Other Florida restaurants to make the list include Nami in Orlando (#3), Ossobuco in Miami (#6), Brandon’s Bistro in Pembroke Pines (#8), and Mayu Miami in Miami (#23).
