‘He’s A Stud!’ QB Baker Mayfield Scouts Rookie Receiver

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ undrafted rookie wide receiver Kameron Johnson has shined on the gridiron throughout training camp. He thinks he has the versatility to be a playmaker in the NFL.

And his QB seems to think the same thing.

Johnson has been dealing with a rib injury for the last week of camp and was in a no-contact jersey for the Bucs’ second joint practice. However, he was still seen getting a lot of reps when appropriate …

And big things might just be ahead here for him.

The undrafted free agent out of Barton College received some words from Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield:

“Kam Johnson’s a stud,” said Mayfield. “I didn’t even know where Barton College was until a few weeks ago, but whatever they fed him, it worked.”

Johnson is working on getting full mobility back, but when he does the rookie has some impressive physical aspects. His 40 time was 4.46 seconds and his vertical was listed at 37 inches.

As he works through the rib issue, he will at some point need to have some in-game production if he wants some consideration for a spot on the roster.
