TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Another steamy day with highs in the low 90s and heat index values 105+ in the afternoon.
Overall, the rain chance is lower today than the past few days. We have a 40% chance of afternoon and early evening downpours. The rain that develops drifts east of I-75, so it stays a bit drier near the coast.
It’s a similar pattern Saturday with a 40% rain chance. A stray shower is possible in the morning, but most of the rain develops in the afternoon and heads inland.
A few more storms expected Sunday afternoon but still not too widespread. Humidity continues to stay high.
Next week, classic summer downpours expected each afternoon with highs in the low 90s.
While there are a few tropical waves across the Atlantic Basin, nothing has a strong chance of development.
