Tampa roommates busted for running drug operation out of apartment; police seize guns, $15k

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two Tampa roommates will spend more time together in jail after police shut down a drug operation that they ran out of their apartment.

The Tampa Police Department began an investigation back in 2023 into 27-year-old Antonio Lagreera, who they believed to be a main supplier of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine out of his apartment.

On Wednesday, officers conducted a search warrant for Lagreera’s apartment, located in the 9000 block of North 13th Street, to also find his 26-year-old roommate, Kendric Daniels.

Detectives seized eight guns, ammunition, 224 grams of fentanyl, 221.1 grams of meth, more than 700 grams of cocaine, and $15,946 in the apartment.

Lagreera and Daniels were both arrested and taken to the Orient Road Jail.

“The tenacity and dedicated efforts of all those involved in this investigation has ensured that Sulphur Springs and the Nebraska Avenue corridor is safer for our community and visitors alike,” Chief Lee Bercaw said. “In Tampa, we have zero tolerance for illegal narcotics activity and are committed to using all available resources to ensure that those responsible are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
