Florida Applebee’s Shut Down After State Inspection – 24 Violations – 2nd Closure

If you were in Florida decades ago, you might remember casual but festive restaurant chains like Benningan’s, Steak N Ale, and Chi Chis. Some of those are no longer around in the Sunshine State, but chains like Applebee’s are. Unfortunately, one store of the latter – in Temple Terrace – was recently temporarily shut down after a state inspection.

About Applebee’s In Florida: This eatery has been around in the South since 1980 when it was founded in Georgia. However, it would take less than a decade for it to expand to 100 restaurants. And by 1998, it would have 1,000. Today, there are around 1650 worldwide and it serves bar and comfort food favorites like burgers, fajitas, barbecue, and pasta.

There are currently 87 Applebee’s locations in Florida.
