The Chiefs were once again far from perfect in a 30-24 overtime “Monday Night Football” win over the Buccaneers, but their ceiling might have gotten even higher after the performance DeAndre Hopkins put together under the lights.
After a quiet debut just days after coming over from the Titans, Hopkins hit his stride with his first two touchdowns in a Chiefs uniform to help propel Kansas City to its eighth win of the season.
The Chiefs have won 14 consecutive games, including the playoffs, dating back to last season, and it’s fair to wonder whether that streak would still be alive without the trade for the former All-Pro considering it took every point for Kansas City to eke out the victory.
