TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Alessi Bakery CEO and President Phil Alessi said he felt ill when he saw what his former employee was doing.
Rosa Harwell, 47, was accused of stealing $74,520.97 from Alessi Bakery and is now facing over 50 third-degree felonies for false entry in books of business entity and one second-degree grand theft charge.

During the week, Tampa police said Harwell was a math teacher at Tampa Preparatory School, and on the weekends, she worked at Alessi Bakery. “This one really hit home because we do treat our associates like family, and Rosa has been with us; she was hired in 2017,” Alessi said . “She tutored my kids, she was in my home.”
