‘Everybody’s on edge’: Tampa police investigate after store clerk shoots, kills customer

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A customer at a North Tampa convenience store was killed Monday night after being shot by an employee, according to police.

Officers with the Tampa Police Department said they received a call around 6:14 p.m. regarding a disturbance at a 7-Eleven gas station located off North Nebraska Avenue.

“I’ve been living here for eight years now, and this is the first time I’ve seen a crime like this,” Christopher Rosario said. “I don’t know what happened.”

Police found a man with a gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to the police department…
