This weekend, the Tampa teen finally had the birthday party she’s been asking for since she was 4 years old, a “People Chips” party. The only problem? For more than a decade, no one had any idea what she was talking about.
Back in 2011, Maggie’s mom, Valerie, was baffled when her toddler began begging for “People Chips” at snack time, and even wanted them as the theme of her birthday party. But after years of searching the snack aisles with no success and zero clues, the mystery remained unsolved.
Fast-forward to 2025: A viral TikTok posted by Maggie finally cracked the case , revealing that the elusive “People Chips” were actually Zapp’s Voodoo Chips all along. The video exploded, gaining more than 16.9 million views and sparking a wave of comments from others with their own childhood “baby bloopers.”
When Zapp’s caught wind of the video, they stepped in to make Maggie’s dream come true — throwing her a long-overdue “People Chips” birthday party right here in her Tampa backyard. The celebration was complete with voodoo doll plushies, Mardi Gras-style balloon arches, and of course, mountains of Zapp’s chips…
