Tampa has a new star in chic, upcycled clothing thanks to the arrival of “The” Swap Soiree. Led by a trio of local creatives, the pop-up boutique has been hosting highly interactive, upscale clothing swap events since making its debut at the end of 2024.
The stylish sustainability movement combines preloved, upscale fashion with seasonal themes and activities in events they call “Edits” taking place across Tampa Bay. Their first edition was a “girls night in” theme at Hotel Haya, with prosecco, music, bites, and plenty of great boutique fashion. At each Edit, guests can sip, shop, and swap in a beautifully merchandised environment curated to feel more like a designer pop-up than your average thrift haul.
After the first two swaps sold out (seeing more than 500 pieces find a new home), “The” Swap Soiree’s next big event takes place this weekend in honor of Mother’s Day. “The” Spring Edit is a Saturday morning brunch-style swap and vendor market that invites guests to refresh their wardrobes while making an impact—socially and environmentally.
