WATCH: Suspect tries to play it cool, caught in Walmart aisle after high-speed chase

TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — A high-speed chase through Tampa ended not with a crash, but with two suspects sprinting into a Walmart—only to be caught strolling in the aisle by deputies.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said the pursuit began on May 19, when a black Mercedes from a traffic stop on Hillsborough Avenue. The Sheriff’s Aviation Section tracked the car as it drove recklessly on I-275 before exiting and parking at the Walmart near Bearss Avenue and Dale Mabry Highway.
