TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa police officers said 29 people were arrested and charged with driving under the influence over the Fourth of July weekend in operation “Red, White and Sober.”
The police department said its officers focused on speeding, reckless driving and other traffic violations from July 3 to July 6.

Officers partnered with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol for a DUI-focused initiative “aimed at identifying and removing impaired drivers from the road.”
