TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida panther was found dead along a highway last week in Tampa Bay, far outside its usual habitat.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) records state that a male panther, estimated to be 2-3 years old, was killed by a vehicle on Interstate-75 in Pasco County.

The big cat was discovered on July 1 and was located about 0.6 miles south of SR-56 near Wesley Chapel.
