TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The city of Tampa launched a new “Little Skimmer” to remove debris from waterways.
The city said the new skimmer will help its team reach hard-to-reach areas, like seawalls, mangroves and shallow edges.

“Since 2023, the larger Litter Skimmer has removed more than 94,000 pounds of debris – and we’re excited to further strengthen our ability to keep Tampa’s waterways clean,” city officials said.
