TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Americans for Immigrant Justice confirmed to 8 On Your Side that a 15-year-old boy was briefly detained at Alligator Alcatraz earlier this month.
Marianna Delgado is the supervising attorney on the Children’s Legal Program at Americans for Immigrant Justice. She said Alexis, who is only being identified by his first name, was in a car with five adults, heading to Tampa when they were stopped by the authorities on July 1.
