TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman who worked at “Alligator Alcatraz” shared her experience at the controversial migrant detention facility located in the Florida Everglades.
This comes amid outcry from detainees, their families and advocates, who claim the people being held there face overcrowding, issues with food and bathrooms, and lack of access to legal counsel.

The worker requested to be identified only by her first name, Lindsey, out of fear that she and her family could face harassment as she comes forward with allegations of “inhumane” conditions.
Lindsey provided NBC affiliate WTVJ with documentation, including state of Florida credentials and her contract with a security company, that shows she was employed at the facility. The contract was with GardaWorld Federal Services, who was awarded a nearly $38 million contract related to staffing services for the facility, and her credentials listed her position as “corrections officer.”…
