Disturbance in the Atlantic could become tropical depression

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The National Hurricane Center is monitoring two disturbances in the Atlantic, one of which could turn into a tropical depression next week.

One system is a tropical wave that emerged off the west coast of Africa. It’s currently moving west-northwest at around 15 mph.

Development over the weekend is unlikely, but conditions are more favorable next week and could result in the formation of a tropical depression, NHC said…
