Pinky’s Eatery closes after more than 20 years in Tampa

Pinky’s, one of Tampa’s most cherished breakfast and brunch spots, has quietly closed its doors after serving the community for more than two decades. The restaurant was a staple for locals, college students, and visitors alike, earning a loyal following with its hearty plates, fast coffee refills, and unmistakable charm.

This was a go-to spot back when I was at the University of Tampa, and because of that, it will always have a special place in my heart.

Known for its kitschy décor and warm atmosphere, Pinky’s became a welcoming spot for newcomers to the city and longtime residents. The menu offered breakfast classics done right, from perfectly prepared eggs Benedict and fluffy buttermilk pancakes to its massive pancake breakfast sandwich—a dish large enough to rival the Florida State Fair.
