TAMPA, Fla. (WWSB) – Tampa Police claim they’ve tracked down a pack of nearly 200 cyclists who were riding motorcycles, scooters, e-bikes and dirt bikes on city streets Aug. 13, zipping through city streets and intersections, and driving on sidewalks.
Police helicopter video on social media shows one group of about 40 bikers on Howard Avenue near Platt Street weaving around other vehicles, some on the sidewalk and one turning the wrong way on a one-way street.
The Tampa Police Department’s Facebook post warned “Our eyes in the sky and boots on the ground worked together to track them down. You can try to run. You can try to hide. But we’ll be right behind you — and above you — making sure our roadways are safe for everyone.”…
