TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Pirate Water Taxi is launching a new fleet of four water taxis in honor of its 10th anniversary in February.
The new vessels are customized specifically for Tampa and designed to navigate downtown bridges, making them a more accessible and efficient means of transportation. The updated fleet will also combine the taxi’s current two-route system into one optimized route.
“Pirate Water Taxi has become part of the DNA of Tampa, and we are excited to reinvest, providing the best-in-class experiences for our guests,” says Pirate Water Taxi President and CEO Troy Manthey. “It’s incredible to see how much the city and Pirate Water Taxi have grown over the last decade!”
Each vessel is Coast Guard certified for 49 passengers and features restrooms, a bar with beverages and snacks, as well as ADA accessibility…
