Authorities say a Florida man is “lucky to be alive” after the car he was in was shot at in a hotel parking lot on Friday.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday shared surveillance video of the Friday shooting in the parking lot of an Extended Stay hotel at 9321 Everhart Road in Riverview. According to the sheriff’s office, detectives with the department’s Gunfire Response Investigations Team responded to the scene.
Investigators learned the driver of a silver Toyota Camry was sitting in his car in the parking lot when the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Jasheed Scatliffe-Kalunda walked up and fire multiple gunshots at his vehicle…
