TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Nineteen people had an unfortunate ending to their Friday night out when they were arrested in an underage drinking operation, the Tampa Police Department said.
Officers conducted a sweep through establishments in SoHo and Ybor, looking for fake IDs and underage drinkers. They were assisted by the Florida Highway Patrol and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
“To our college-age residents, facing felony charges for possessing a fake ID is a steep price to pay for that hard seltzer,” the department wrote on Facebook.
