Much of Florida is facing a wet and stormy week ahead, including a flood warning in place for one region.
Last week, the Sunshine State avoided any major impacts from Hurricane Erin and Tropical Storm Fern, which is tracking through the central Atlantic on the heels of Erin, will also not reach the state. But that doesn’t mean that Florida is in the clear.
Severe weather will see daily thunderstorms across much of the region this week as conditions remain humid and temperatures sit in the high 80s to early 90s. While more stormy weather is set to round out August, the pattern of rain and storms is forecast to shift, changing where will be impacted and when. It comes as the biggest wildfire of 2025 rages as Miami chokes in thick plume of smoke.
