Tampa man sentenced to five years for receiving child SA material

TAMPA, Florida — A 40-year-old Tampa man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for receiving child sexual abuse material, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Steven Dennis Mack will also face a lifetime of supervised release and must register as a sex offender.

Mack was ordered to pay $42,500 in restitution and $40,000 in fines after pleading guilty on March 6, 2025. An Air Force court martial is pending. Court documents reveal Mack sent an image of CSAM from his personal email to a contact in the Philippines. A search of his Tampa residence uncovered a cellphone and laptop containing CSAM, with 64 images found on the phone. Investigations showed Mack viewed most images in June and December 2023…
