Dog dies after being found abandoned in the woods in Lutz: ‘devastated is an understatement’

TAMPA, Fla. — The Humane Society of Tampa Bay says one of three dogs that were found abandoned in the woods on Thursday has died.

Blessing, along with her babies, Hope and Spirit, was found behind Blessings Gas Station on U.S. 41 in Lutz. Two brave young girls found the dogs, weighing 16 pounds each, and drove them straight to the shelter.
