A Riverview woman has been detained and charged with burglary and battery after allegedly entering into a Bartow home and assaulting a longtime acquaintance on Friday morning.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies were dispatched to a local hospital to look into a battery complaint submitted by the victim. According to the victim’s statement, the incident started when 34-year-old Angela Renee Tilley of Riverview arrived at her Bartow home and continuously honked her car horn.
The victim, who had known Tilley all her life, opened the door and told her to leave. Tilley apparently tossed a shoe at the house before moving toward the front door. Tilley allegedly grabbed the door and pushed her way inside while the victim was attempting to close it…
