North Carolina Trucker Uninjured After Beef Trailer Detaches In Florida On I-4 Access Road

No Injuries Reported in Early Morning Incident, Roadway Cleared by 6:30 A.M.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A semi-tractor-trailer carrying a load of beef separated early Sunday morning on a major interchange, causing a two-and-a-half-hour road blockage.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred at approximately 4:00 A.M. on the I-4 access road at the interchange with US-301. The semi-tractor and its refrigeration trailer, loaded with beef, unexpectedly separated, coming to a stop in the roadway.

The vehicle combination effectively blocked the exit lane from the eastbound I-4 access road to northbound US-301.

Troopers and a team of crews were dispatched to the scene and worked to remove the obstruction. The roadway was cleared by 6:30 A.M…
