Water Main Break Prompts Lane Closure, Traffic Disruptions Expected Through Monday
TAMPA, Fla. – Starting at 9 a.m. today, the Tampa Water Department has closed the inside eastbound lane of West Platt Street between South Boulevard and South Edison Avenue to address a water main break. The closure is expected to cause traffic delays for commuters in the area.
Barricades and signs have been placed along the roadway to guide traffic and assist with vehicle flow. Drivers are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the affected zone. The Tampa Water Department has stated that adjustments to the work schedule and traffic plan may be necessary as repairs progress.
