Dover, FL – Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office narrowly avoided injury Saturday night after a driver allegedly swerved toward them during a warrant attempt in Dover. The incident happened September 13, 2025, at 9:58 p.m.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Marco Reyes-Diaz, fled the scene before deputies boxed him in at a gas station on 15634 East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. He was taken into custody without further incident.
Deputies said a search of the vehicle uncovered two firearms, fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, cash, and hundreds of plastic bags. Reyes-Diaz now faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon and armed trafficking in fentanyl…
