TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Police Department announced the passing of a beloved former member on Tuesday.
The department made the announcement in a post on social media that said, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of retired K-9 Rock, who served the Tampa Police Department with courage, love and loyalty.”
K-9 Rock began his career in 2012 alongside Retired Corporal Mike Baranowski. After Baranowski’s retirement in 2013, Rock partnered with MPO Dave Savage, where he continued to play a key role in countless felony arrests.
