Hillsborough River State Park’s Haunted Woods experience is one of the best Halloween events of the year in the region. This dynamic spooky event is created by a dedicated group of locals who want to provide something special for the community. The festivities will take place October 24 and 25 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. each night. The park is located at 5402 US-301 in Thonotosassa.
Before we continue, it’s important to note that this event may not be suitable for younger visitors, and pets are not allowed at the after hours event.
Of course, it takes a village to make The Haunted Woods happen. Organizers have issued a call for volunteers to help bring Halloween haunts to life. The event is seeking groups to decorate scare zones, volunteer as trail scarers, design trunk or treat displays, provide general support (ticket sales, parking), and more to ensure its success.
