PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — A person drowned in a pond at a park in Plant City on Monday.
Plant City Police Department officers were called to Samuel W. Cooper Park on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a male in distress in the pond.
Police said the male was completely submerged in the pond when they arrived. A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office dive team helped recover the male, whose age was not disclosed…
