Florida Teen Charged with Weapon Possession on School Grounds After Riverview High School Incident

A 16-year-old student at Riverview High School was arrested after deputies found a kitchen knife in his backpack during school hours on Friday last week. According to CBS12, the discovery followed a reported altercation involving several students.

School administrators alerted deputies after learning that a student might have brought a weapon on campus. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office identified the student as Elred Hardy III. Deputies determined that the dispute between Hardy and another student was related to an argument over a girl, during which Hardy allegedly made threats.
