Hillsborough teen arrested after deputies say he carried gun to school

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Spoto High School student Tuesday for allegedly bringing a firearm to school.

At 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 14, school administrators and an Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office School Resource deputy detained a 16-year-old after receiving a tip that he had a firearm on campus.
