2 drivers, 2 students hurt in Tampa school bus crash

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two drivers and two students were taken to the hospital after a school bus and SUV collided on Thursday morning.

The bus was carrying 29 students when the crash happened just before 9 a.m. at 43rd Street and Hanna Avenue.

Tampa police said the driver of a Dodge Durango may have experienced a medical episode before veering in front of the bus and striking the front driver’s side.

The two injured students had minor injuries. The bus driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with a broken leg and other injuries. He is in critical, but stable condition…
