HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County residents looking to stock up on food staples ahead of the holidays have three opportunities this month to receive free groceries through a series of food pantry events.
Hillsborough County’s Health Care Services is hosting the events in partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay. The food packages generally include a variety of essential items, such as fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, and other staples.
No Income Restrictions
There are no income restrictions to receive food at these giveaways, making the resources available to any resident of Hillsborough County who may be experiencing food insecurity or simply needs extra help this month.
The three events in November are part of an expanded schedule by the County’s Healthy Living Program and Feeding Tampa Bay, which typically hold 16 food pantry events throughout the year. The organizations traditionally add three extra giveaways in November before Thanksgiving and another three in December to help meet increased need during the holiday season.
