Tampa Launches $2M Hurricane Aid Program for Homeowners in Hard-Hit Areas

Tampa will distribute $2 million to homeowners struck by hurricanes Helene and Milton. The Homeowner Hurricane Assistance program opens Nov. 17. It closes Dec. 12.

Officials will prioritize people in the worst-hit zip codes. Forest Hills, Palmetto Beach, and South of Gandy/Port Tampa top the list. Each household can receive up to $30,000.

“Even a year after the storm, our commitment to supporting homeowners remains unwavering,” Mayor Jane Castor said in a news release, per WTSP. “We understand their challenges and continue to explore innovative ways to strengthen the resilience of our housing stock.”…
