Tampa Bay organizations hold free grocery events to help those in need

PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — In the aftermath of the government shutdown, the need for food is growing. To help fill the gaps, the Hillsborough County Health Services held a free grocery pickup event Friday in Plant City.

The event began at 4 p.m., and during some points, the line was wrapped all the way around the corner.
