TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — As the sun rose this morning, hundreds were gathered for a peaceful prayer followed by a breakfast event at the Marshal Center Amphitheater at the University of South Florida.
The event was a student-led community call to action in response to a prayer disruption incident last week that swiftly spread on social media.

Tuesday was a different story, complete with a flyer inviting all to join as a much hoped-for reprieve from that incident. USF student Sajid Kahn said the success of Tuesday’s event left him inspired to push USF to be a leading example in how to come together and flip a negative narrative.
