LITHIA, Fla. (WFLA) — One person is in custody and two are at large after Hillsborough County deputies said they received a call reporting gunshots near Alafia State Park on Thanksgiving.
The sheriff’s office said the call came in just after 1 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27. Soon after, a helicopter unit spotted three suspects inside the park carrying long guns, officials said.

The suspects fled from deputies, heading toward a body of water. Divers were able to locate one of the suspects, Joseph Rolon Fernandez, 33, hiding in thick brush, according to authorities.
