WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A 37-year-old man is facing felony charges after allegedly crashing into a tree while heavily intoxicated and leaving the scene with a critically injured passenger.

The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Bay Pines Drive. According to investigators, Robert Christopher Freeman was driving a Saturn SL1 southbound when he lost control north of Lindenhurst Drive.
