TAMPA, Fla. — The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has declared a Phase I water shortage as the region faces a significant 13-inch rainfall deficit, with continued dry conditions expected in the coming months.
The restrictions will remain in place through July 1 of next year.
