Medical Crisis Sends Truck Careening Into Guardrail, Flipping On I-75 In Riverview

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A sudden medical emergency behind the wheel turned a Monday morning commute into a frightening scene on Interstate 75, leaving a commercial truck overturned and its driver hospitalized.

The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. north of Big Bend Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 61-year-old Tampa man was heading south in a single-unit commercial truck when he suffered a medical episode and lost control of the vehicle.
