Family of Tampa mom shot in head at birthday party sues apartment over security

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Attorneys and loved ones of a Tampa woman who was shot in the head at a September birthday party are suing her apartment complex over alleged security issues.

On Sept. 19, 2025, Enrinique Moore, 26, was at a pajama birthday party with friends for a family member at the RiverTree Landing Apartments when three uninvited guests arrived.

“She was there for what should have been a peaceful evening with friends and closed doors,” crime victim attorney Maegan Bridwell said. “Later that evening, three unauthorized individuals came upon this property freely. Because, as you can see, there’s no access control. There’s no gate.”

The unwelcome individuals began arguing with one of the people at the party, which led to the argument happening outdoors…
