Tampa Jewish community embraces celebration of light in time of darkness after Bondi Beach attack

TAMPA, Fla. — Hanukkah is an eight-day period focused on light. But this year’s celebration comes at a time when so many in the Jewish community have felt darkness.

On Sunday, 15 were killed, and another 27 were injured, when a father and son opened fire at a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.
